To request an item not currently in our collection, fill out the Materials Request form or call the Reference Desk at (425) 257-8000 during open hours. If we are able to obtain the item, it will be held for you at the location you indicate on the form.
Library staff consider factors such as format, release date, availability, cost, and capacity. Some items could be purchased for our collection, other items could be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
Please note: Our library is not purchasing these media formats in 2026: music CDs, audiobooks on CD, and Playaways. Some physical media may be borrowed from other libraries via InterLibrary Loan (ILL) if it has a release date of 2024 or older. Libraries do not lend newer books or media through ILL.
Turnaround time varies based on availability and shipping distance. Some items could arrive in 1-2 weeks, others could take a month or more.
If you have not received your item after one month, please let staff know. When possible, customers will be notified if we are not able to obtain the item(s) requested.
