Teen Volunteers
There are two ways for teens to be involved at Everett Public Library:
Teen Advisory Council (TACo): This council was created to empower teens to help create inclusive spaces they want to be a part of, including programs and engagement activities. TACo meets regularly to brainstorm program and engagement ideas, share library related programs with peers, and optionally attend/volunteer for programs and outreach. Members may obtain volunteer/community service hours. Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Main Library from 3:30-4:30pm.
Teen Volunteer Program: Teen volunteers assist with brainstorming programs and community engagement activities of interest to teens and complete tasks to support library services and programs targeting youth and families. Tasks may include sharing book recommendations/feedback/ideas, cleaning toys/books/library shelves, or assist library staff in outreach events or youth programs. This program requires official paperwork, including a background check. We are at full capacity for Teen Volunteers at this time.
