Out on a Limb: Poetry in the Trees at Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens

    This event, in partnership with the Everett Public Library, is part of the Arboretum's 60th Anniversary and National Poetry Month. Two dozen selected poems will be stamped on clay tablets and hung from the limbs of trees along the Arboretum's pathways.

  4. Details
    • Any age can enter, but no more than two entries per person. Entries will be judged by a committee appointed by the Arboretum board.
    • Entries must be short, either haiku (17 syllables in a 5/7/5 pattern) or micro poems (which should fit within the confines of a tweet or SMS message)
    • Entries must have a nature theme but need not reference the Arboretum. The Arboretum board reserves the right to display entries as it finds appropriate.
