Legal Clinic Starts in June

The library is pleased to announce Lawyers in the Library, a legal clinic in partnership with Snohomish County Legal Services, on second Thursdays beginning June 9. At this legal clinic, SCLS attorneys will meet with you one-on-one for free half-hour consultations on general civil legal issues, including family law, housing, and debt collection.

You must be a low-income resident of Snohomish County. Please sign up for an appointment at epls.org/signmeup. Pre-registration is recommended; walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

42 gardeners came out to our recent seed share event on a very rainy Sunday. Stay tuned for more gardening events this summer and fall! And volunteers from Sharing Wheels fixed at least six bikes — for free! — at their monthly bike clinic last week. The next clinic is June 14, 3-6 p.m. at the Evergreen Branch.

"Beastie Boys Book" by Michael Diamond and Adam Horovitz (pictured with Northwest Room historian Lisa), Michael Chabon's "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay," Laura Silverman's "Recommended for You," and "Night" by Elie Wiesel are just a few of our favorites.
