Everett Public Library to host Everett Veterans Book Group

EVERETT, WA—Everett Public Library is proud to announce that it will host a book group for local veterans. Veterans from all military branches are encouraged to join the Everett Veterans Book Group. Starting in January, the group will meet monthly to discuss works of fiction and poetry exploring themes of military service. Group members will have the opportunity to discuss their own experiences and share their personal stories in a welcoming community of veterans.

The Everett Veterans Book Group will be led by a skilled facilitator with a military background. Up to twenty participants will be given a set of reading materials for the entire year. They will also be given a notebook to record their thoughts and reflections throughout the year. The goal of the Everett Veterans Book Group is to create a supportive group for veterans to connect and explore military service experiences together through a shared reading experience.

The Everett Veterans Book Group is made possible with funding from the Humanities Washington SHARP grant program. SHARP grants are designed to sustain the humanities through the American Rescue Plan.
