Everett Reads! Keynote Featuring Sy Montgomery

Sunday, May 5, 2019

5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Take a walk on the wild side at the Everett Public Library! The Everett Public Library proudly presents acclaimed naturalist Sy Montgomery as the featured speaker for the 2019 Everett Reads! program. Everett Reads! is the library's annual community reading event. This year's program is dedicated to an exploration of all things animal.

Featured speaker Sy Montgomery has been chased by a silverback gorilla, embraced by a Giant Pacific Octopus, and undressed by an orangutan. Learn about Montgomery’s amazing animal adventures and explore the connection between humans and animals.

The keynote event for Everett Reads! will take place at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Avenue. Sy Montgomery will present an illustrated lecture for adults drawing from her lifetime of living with and researching animals. Books will be for sale and available for signing following the lecture during a free reception hosted by the Friends of Everett Public Library.
