Last year we began work on a
strategic plan. Many of you participated through
focus groups, in-house and web surveys, and a
telephone survey. Library consultants interviewed
City leaders, provided us with benchmarks from other
libraries, and made recommendations based on their
knowledge of the library field.
Library staff and
our Board of Trustees worked with the consultants to
develop the plan we will use to guide our work over
the next five years. We've already started
implementing some of the ideas you gave us, and we
hope you'll like what you see happening in the
future. We promise to keep you informed as we begin
making the plan reality.
